With regards to transport within the construction industry, TJ Transport has the knowledge and experience to undertake a wide range of construction projects. Whether that be for domestic housing, commercial buildings or public sector premises.

We have experience working with a range of trade providers and our fleet provides an excellent solution for many projects and requirements.

Our Butser Quarry provides rock chalk in several forms; as crushed chalk, ‘as dug’ chalk, gabion rock chalk and agglime chalk. The crushed chalk  is our most popular chalk products and is a primary general fill aggregate, most commonly used for capping and being laid over terram to raise and level natural ground. The ‘as dug’ chalk is used as a temporary base or infill for construction projects due to its hard and sturdy nature. The gabion rock chalk is used within wire baskets as support for soil banks.

At TJ Transport’s Butser Quarry  we  produce a crushed recycled aggregate called iBlend. Brick and concrete materials are tipped at the quarry and then deposited into a crusher to make this 6F5 hardcore. iBlend  is used for ground engineering such as base layers for roads and access areas and is a more cost effective alternative to limestone.
